ER Receives EPA GHG Certificate

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized ENER-G Rudox for its contribution to reducing Green House Gas Emissions in the United States.  In 2014, ER projects reduced carbon emissions by over 1,300 metric tons, the equivalent of removing ~175 residential homes from the grid.

Since the merger of the UK’s ENER-G Group and Rudox Engine and Equipment Company in 2013, ENER-G Rudox projects have reduced GHG emissions by over 2,600 metric tons as compared to conventional energy sources. This total represents the same impact as the carbon sequestered by over 2,100 acres of U.S. forest over the same time period.

The certificate was presented by EPA’s Combined Heat and Power Partnership. The Partnership works with companies and organizations operating in the United States and its territories to promote the economic, environmental, and reliability benefits of CHP and provides tools and services to support development of new CHP capacity.
